A brain training technique for positivity

Updated: Apr 16

Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain to create new neural connections, pathways and networks and change how it is wired. According to 'heart hackers club' “You can train your brain to be more positive."

By spending just 2 minutes a day, every day for 21 days in a row, you can actually rewire your brain. It's a really simple but useful technique:

Start each day by saying out loud or writing down 3 NEW things that you are grateful for.

If you do this for 21 days straight, by the end of the 3 weeks, your brain starts to retain a pattern of scanning the world for the positive and not the negative.”

In NLP terms this is known as filtering. For example, have you noticed that when you buy a new car, you suddenly see lots of those vehicles around you? Or if I told you go out and tell me how many things your saw today that were red. You would suddenly see and notice lots of red things. By filtering for positive things, and things we want more of, we start to become aware and sense more of the 'good stuff' in our lives.

So, your 21 day challenge is to pick up a pen and start writing your 3 things to be grateful for!
